Principle of online X-ray thickness measurement


Background:

Modern production technology requires faster and more accurate quality control technology to ensure the overall quality of products. Our company has introduced relevant equipment and technology from Europe and cooperated with domestic top scientific research institutes to develop and produce PSD-500 thickness (weight) online detection system. This system is a detection device that can detect and feedback the thickness or weight of various films, fabrics and non-woven fabrics, coated fabrics, composite materials and other products in real time. Especially in BOPP and BOPET

 

Working Principle:

For X-ray, after it penetrates the tested material, the attenuation rule of ray intensity I is I=Ioe - μd; Io is the initial ray intensity, I is the ray intensity after passing through the object, μ Is the absorption coefficient, d is the thickness through which the ray passes (gram weight);

When μ and Io are fixed, I is only a function of the measured material d, so the thickness (gram weight) d can be known by measuring I. The principle of the X-ray thickness (gram weight) detector is to convert the thickness or gram weight according to the intensity attenuation when the X-ray penetrates the measured object, that is, measure the X-ray energy absorbed by the measured object, and determine the thickness (gram weight) of the measured product according to the energy value of the X-ray. The received signal is converted into electrical signal by the X-ray receiver, amplified by the preamplifier, and then converted into the actual thickness value or figure for people to watch by the processing system.

 

Main Functions:

1. Fixed point measurement: the position of fixed point measurement can be set arbitrarily within the scanning range

2. Automatic completion of timing calibration or manual calibration, and the time interval of timing calibration can be set

3. Position compensation calibration

4. Automatic detection, display and processing of system faults

5. Screen display:

*Display the transverse distribution of the measured material thickness according to the working mode of the system scanning measurement or fixed-point measurement

Current value, maximum value, minimum value, average value, mean square deviation and deviation value of curve or longitudinal distribution curve

*The parameter modification screen displays the configuration parameters and can modify the parameters

*Display system working status and fault type

6. Response time of the system: ≤ 0.5 seconds
